HIV Center

The aim of the HIV Center run by HIV Foundation is to prevent HIV infections, support the HIV infected people, their family members and closed ones as well as the people worried about infection. HIV Center also aims to increase the abilities of the social, health and educational professionals to confront the HIV infected people, their family members and people worried about infection.

HIV Center established in 1986 is mainly funded by Finland’s Slot Machine Association (RAY). The organization offers a wide range of services for professionals in social and health care, nurture and education as well as HIV infected people, their family members and the people worried about infection.

HIV Testing

You can get tested for HIV anonymously and free of charge in HIV Center’s service points in Helsinki, Tampere and Oulu. We use a rapid test system where the blood is taken from a fingertip and the result will be available while waiting, in 1 minute.

CHECKPOINT 2.0: HIV testing once a week only for gay and bisexual men and other men who have sex with men. On Thursdays from 2pm to 6pm, no appointment needed.
